Is There Anything I Need to Know About Filling the Dumpster?
You may not think there’s some information to learn about filling a dumpster, but there actually is! Don’t worry though, these are easy to remember. First and foremost, please make sure you are filling the container evenly throughout. We cannot properly load the dumpster back on the flatbed if one side of the container is heavier than the other. The second requirement is that you don’t fill the container higher than the level of the walls. Materials hanging over the sides of the container can become a hazard on the roads. We cannot legally have the roll off dumpster on the road if it is filled beyond capacity.
Filling Requirements
- Filling the container evenly throughout
- Materials in the container are not higher than the walls
- There are no materials hanging over the sides of the container
If you are disposing of heavy debris such as dirt, concrete, asphalt, and brick, be extra careful you’re not filling the dumpster more than halfway. Doing so will make the dumpster too heavy to load onto the flat bed. There’s also a good chance you will exceed the weight limit of the container. Also keep in mind only one type of debris can be loaded into the container. So please do not mix two substances into one unit. Please don’t hesitate to talk with our customer representatives if you have any questions or concerns about filling your container.
